An interesting and fairly common question. We will try to give an exhaustive answer.

This is probably the most frequently asked question of apartment residents in all regions of Ukraine. In addition, the most controversial. We will try to answer it as briefly as possible.

Clauses 2 and 25 of the “Rules for the provision of central heating, water, heat supply and sewerage services to the population ...”, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 630 dated July 21, 2005, provide for the consumer's right to refuse to receive central heating (CH) services and hot water supply (HHS) in the manner approved by the central executive authority on housing and communal services.

The consumer has the right to terminate the contract and demand disconnection from the respective networks. In this case, he simply performs a number of necessary measures so that interference with the working heating and water supply system of the house does not harm the rest of its residents. All this is described in the “Procedure for disconnecting individual residential buildings from centralized heating networks and hot water supply when consumers refuse to supply centralized heating”, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine No. 4 dated November 22, 2005.

By order No. 169 of 06.11.2007 of the same body, changes were made to order No. 4, from which it follows that disconnection from the central heating and hot water supply system is carried out only if the entire house is turned off. That is, a ban was introduced on the disconnection of individual apartments.

All this contradicts the requirements of paragraph 1 of Art. 321 of the Civil Code of Ukraine, since it restricts the rights of the apartment owner and his constitutional right to dispose of his property. Moreover, this prohibition makes a person dependent on the owners of other apartments in the house, who do not want or do not have the opportunity to disconnect from the central heating. This, again, grossly violates the rights and freedoms of citizens guaranteed by the Constitution of Ukraine.

Now, such a disconnection is theoretically possible, for this you need to take permission to disconnect from an interdepartmental commission created by local authorities. As far as we know, in some cities they are issued almost without hindrance.

Therefore, everyone must decide for himself whether to agree to his refusal, or spend time on settling the situation in court. You can do it yourself. Now there are already quite a lot of firms, lawyers in every city who are engaged in such cases.

As a rule, they are the same. But in the Europe, prices for UDEN-S products may differ from Ukrainian ones.

From a security point of view, this is, of course, possible. The UDEN-S heating system is fully automated and completely safe. It does not need supervision, and due to the absence of a coolant, the possibility of its leakage or freezing during a power outage is excluded. After the restoration of the power supply, the heaters continue to operate independently in a predetermined mode.

However, we do not recommend switching off the heating system completely. As you remember, the basic principle of operation of UDEN-S heaters is tempering (heating of surfaces). Each season, the first 7-10 days of operation, the heating system heats up and, if necessary, dry out the structures of your room, and then simply maintains their stable temperature.

To achieve maximum economy and comfort, do not let the walls cool down any further, because reheating is an additional cost of energy. The most economical mode of operation of the UDEN-S heating system is constant maintenance of the set temperature. The optimum temperature is 20°C. An increase or decrease in temperature by 1°C leads to an increase or decrease in electricity consumption by 5-7%.

In order not to turn off the heating system during your absence, simply set the control system to a slightly lower temperature (for example, 15°C).

The UDEN-S heating system is fully automated and completely safe. The calculation of the power of any heating system is based on determining the heat loss of your room. Each UDEN-S heater has its own capacity and is capable of heating a room of a certain volume. The technical characteristics of each model are in the “Product Catalog” section of the site.

It must be borne in mind that the heat loss, for example, of an apartment and a private house is somewhat different. For example, for an average apartment with an area of 50 sq.m and a height of 2.5 m, 0.6-0.7 kW/sq.m of power of UDEN-S heaters will be enough, whereas for a private house with insufficient thermal insulation, 0.9 kW/sq.m may be insufficient.

Installation of the UDEN-S heating system is quite simple, it can be done independently, following our recommendations for the selection of equipment power.

For best results, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the technical data sheet before installation, as well as read the operating rules. As practice shows, it is often better to contact a specialized company that will not only perform high-quality professional installation, but also provide a guarantee for its services.

Please remember that the manufacturer is not responsible for damage to devices resulting from improper handling. Damage to heaters during installation, which was carried out contrary to the rules described in the technical passport, makes it impossible to free warranty service.

UDEN-S heaters are quite loyal to voltage changes. However, here you need to pay attention to something else. Such voltage fluctuations affect the efficiency of the system. If the voltage is too low, the heating system can work longer in order to provide the required temperature regime. In addition, if it is too high, the surface will heat up more. Neither option is a perfect picture.

To avoid this problem, please notify the installer of the heating system in advance of this factor. In each case, our engineers can provide appropriate recommendations.

Will the wiring of the apartment/house withstand the additional load in the form of electric heating?

During the installation of electric heating, our technicians do not use intra-apartment wiring. All heaters are connected to a stand-alone cable of the appropriate cross-section and connected directly to the meter. This is a guarantee of safe operation.

Therefore, if you are installing the heating system yourself, please first consult with a specialist.

Our experts use a three-core copper cable of the PVS, SHVVP brands with a cross section from 1.0 to 4.0 sq.mm.

The choice of cable cross-section depends on the total power of the equipment that will be connected to them (heaters and other electrical appliances).

The complete set of each UDEN-S heater consists of fastening elements and a technical passport.

A warm skirting board is installed over or instead of an existing skirting board along the outer wall or perimeter of the room. Its task is to temper (warm up) a cold surface, thereby preventing heat from escaping outside.

Wall panels (UDEN-250, -300, -500, -500K, -500D, -700, -900, -1000) should also be placed on external walls, under windows or at doors leading to the balcony, so that less cold air enters the room.

UDEN-500P models (ceiling panels) are mounted directly on the ceiling or in the “Armstrong” profile. We do not recommend placing them on walls, since the surface temperature of ceiling heaters is slightly higher than that of wall heaters.

Place designer panels anywhere in the room, decorating and complementing the existing interior. If design heaters are used as your primary heating system, please refer to the tips above.

Thanks to the powder coating, the surface acquires the necessary electrical insulating properties and easily withstands temperature changes. In addition, we obtain products with perfect surfaces and create aesthetically pleasing models.

In case of self-coloring of UDEN-S heaters by you, we cannot guarantee anything from the above, we do not bear responsibility for the result and completely cancel the product warranty.

Therefore, please, first think about whether such a risk is necessary, especially considering that the price of UDEN-S design heaters does not differ significantly from the price of white heating panels.

It can be anything – a company logo, a room wallpaper ornament, an interesting inscription, a drawing of your baby, a pattern from your favorite dishes, etc. in this case, everything is limited only by your imagination.

The UDEN-S system works equally effectively as the main and as an additional heating. The only condition is correct thermal calculations for each individual object.

Wall panels, design radiators, warm skirting boards and porcelain stoneware heaters have a surface temperature of 80±5°C, ceiling panels - 90±5°C, and heated towel rails – 60±5°C. For technical characteristics of UDEN-S heaters, see the model description.

A warm plinth is the same heater, with the same composition of the heat accumulator and a metal surface. Outwardly, they differ only in size, from a technical point of view – in power and installation method.

Its uniqueness lies in the way of heating the premises. A warm skirting board is placed along the lower edge of the outer wall of the room (or around the perimeter) and directly heats its cold surface (tempering effect). A kind of heat shield is created, which, firstly, does not allow cold air to enter the room, and secondly, the heated walls get rid of moisture, conduct less heat outside (the ability to retain heat is significantly improved) and begin to emit it themselves.

Thus, warm skirting boards show excellent results in corner and end rooms, private houses, new buildings, rooms with long curtains or panoramic windows, on loggias, balconies, in plinths, greenhouses, conservatories, etc.

The power cable for sintered-metal heaters of universal set and all porcelain stoneware heaters has a length of 2 m.

The manufacturer's warranty for any UDEN-S model is 5 years from the date of sale. The resource of continuous operation is 25 years.

The exact composition of the heat accumulator of UDEN-S heaters is a production secret, so we cannot provide this information.

Heaters UDEN-S are universal and designed for heating objects of various purposes. They are approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for installation in preschool, school, medical institutions and are ideal for heating premises where a person stays for a long time.

For example, with the help of a programmer (aka a time relay, aka an electronic timer), the heating system is turned on only at the time specified by you or at specific intervals.

By setting a time relay, you decide for yourself what the heating system's operating mode will be. For example, during the day it works at the minimum mode, and an hour before your arrival from work it starts to work more intensively, increasing the temperature to the desired level. Or, for example, a three-tariff meter is installed in the house and there is a need to turn off the heating system during the so-called "peak" hours.

In theory, of course, such an option is possible. But we do not practice it, since the regulator reacts to the air temperature in the very room where it is installed.

If the power of the heating system is calculated correctly, the thermostats ensure that the heaters operate for no more than 5-7 hours a day or they are operated only at a certain time, due to which we obtain significant energy savings.

With the help of thermostats, programmers and other similar devices, it is possible to automatically set and maintain an individual temperature in each room of the room during the entire heating season. Also to automate the operation of the heating system or its components and not to contain maintenance personnel. This is also very convenient when you need to lower the temperature in the absence of people in the room for a long time.

UDEN-S heaters and thermostats are different devices. One thermostat is enough for one room. The number of thermostats depends only on the number of rooms.

Our technicians do not recommend the use of heaters with an already built-in thermostat and consider it impractical. The fact is that in this case, the thermostat is very close to the surface of the panel – the heat source – and therefore its indicators are very distorted.

Today, our company also manufactures heaters with a supply wire and a plug (universal models), which are connected to an outlet through a “mobile” thermostat. As a rule, one such thermostat is needed for each universal panel.

The surface temperature of UDEN-S heaters complies with the requirements of DSTU (GOST), and is within the permitted range in order to prevent the combustion of organic air components. In addition, for long-wave infrared radiation, the air is practically “invisible”, heat waves directly heat a person.

In the first 2-3 days of operation of the heating system, a slight odor is allowed. Do not be alarmed, because the heat accumulator is created from natural materials, the smell is harmless, which is confirmed by the sanitary and hygienic conclusion of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

At the same time, a wide survey of our clients throughout Ukraine suggests that such cases, in general, are extremely rare.

UDEN-S heaters are approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for use in preschool, school, medical institutions and are ideal for heating rooms where people are staying for a long time. Long-wave low-temperature radiant heat is beneficial for human health, because the wavelength is close to the radiation of the human body.

In addition, UDEN-S heating equipment is made exclusively from environmentally friendly natural materials, does not emit combustion products and does not create dust circulation in the room. Moreover, this is true for people with allergies and asthma.

UDEN-S heaters are fireproof (there is a conclusion of the State Fire Safety Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine) and meet all state standards.

However, there are the usual safety rules for handling electrical appliances that must be adhered to:

• it is forbidden to use heaters without grounding, with removed couplings and plugs;
• it is forbidden to place combustible and flammable solutions or liquids near the heaters;
• it is forbidden to wash a working heater or wipe it with a damp cloth;
• it is forbidden to cover the heater or dry linen, clothes, etc. on it.;
• it is forbidden to place furniture, household radio, television and computer equipment closer than 250 mm from the KEN, UDEN-100, -150, -200 models and closer than 500 mm from UDEN-500, -500K, -500D,-700, -900, -1000 so as not to obstruct the free circulation of air.

All UDEN-S products are guaranteed for 5 years from the date of sale. During this time, the manufacturer replaces the faulty heater with a new one with the same warranty period. To do this, you need to contact the point of sale (dealer) or the UDEN-S trading house (if you made a purchase directly from the manufacturer).

! Please remember that in case of violation of the rules of transportation, storage, installation and operation, as well as in the absence of a completed warranty card, the warranty for heaters is not valid, and customer claims are not accepted.

Not. The surface temperature of the wall panels is 80±5°C, which complies with national standards. Neither adult nor child will be burned by touching the heater.

Infrared low temperature heating systems are significantly more economical than other types of heating. But this should not stop you from striving to minimize utility costs.

With electric heating, you can save in several ways.

1. Insulate your home. No heating system will save you if the room has large heat losses (thin walls, cracks, insufficiently insulated roof, facade, windows, etc.). Energy saving needs to be taken care of constantly. Insulation of the apartment will allow you to reduce heating costs, provide comfort and coziness. Now there is a large number of technologies, modern materials. Choose them yourself or ask for help from specialists.
2. Install a time relay (electronic timer, programmer). This device ensures that the heating system is turned on at a specific time or at required intervals. The combination of a time relay with a multi-tariff meter is quite popular – the relay can turn off the heaters for the duration of the “peak” tariff.

Use electronic thermostats (daily, weekly programmers) and schedule the heating system hourly/weekly. For example, the heating system works all day in the minimum (maintenance) mode, and an hour before your return home, it “adjusts” the temperature in the room to a comfortable indicator for you.

2. Apply for a reduced electricity tariff and save on electricity bills during the heating season.

With correct calculations, the UDEN-S heating system during the heating season works on average from 5 to 7 hours a day. To calculate your monthly consumption, multiply the total capacity of your system by the operating time (in hours) and the number of days in the month.

For example, let's take a two-room apartment with a total area of 48.25 square meters and a volume of 125.45 cubic meters (that is, 2.6 meters high). The required power of the heating system for it is 0.06 kW per 1 square meter, on average 3 kW.

The power of 3 kW is not a random figure, namely the power at which the heating system at temperatures up to -20°C outside the window and at +20 ° C - +22°C indoors, voltage 220V, will work from 5 to 7 hours a day.

We will make calculations of electricity consumption for the UDEN-S system at this facility:

3 kW x 6 (hours) x 30 (days) = 540 kW / month. This is the average.
